McMaster Steel Bridge Team

The McMaster Steel Bridge Team is a student run team that creates a 21ft long bridge made out of steel from start to finish. Not only does the team design and build the bridge, but testing of the steel parts to analyze their mechanical properties is integral to the process. The team also completes materials selection to determine which type of steel should be used, and performs failure analysis on bridge parts to optimize their design.

Overall, the collaboration between Materials Engineering and Civil Engineering is used to strengthen this team.

McMaster Concrete Canoe

McMaster Concrete Canoe is a technical team within the Faculty of Engineering, founded, led, and run by students. This is our second season as part of the Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition (CNCCC).  Together, our team works to design, construct, and race a 20-foot canoe made completely out of concrete.

We provide a space where students of all engineering disciplines can apply theory and knowledge to create a competitive, sustainable, and innovative canoe design.
